BREXIT - and what now
Free trade agreement or “harsh Brexit” from 2021 ?!?

Dear Business Partners,

One thing is certain: the United Kingdom left the European Union on January 31, 2020 - and during the current transition phase until December 31, 2020, Great Britain will remain part of the customs union of the European internal market.

Despite all efforts, it is questionable whether a long-term free trade agreement will be negotiated before the transition phase ends. There is therefore still a risk of an unregulated Brexit from January 2021.

In order to prepare the existing trade and traffic of goods for Brexit, a few things need to be taken into account and the corresponding conditions created.

In principle, we recommend that internal preparation be carried out in order to have sufficient import and export know-how built up and expanded in the event of a harsh Brexit.

We would like to take this as an opportunity and, as usual, assist you with advice and action as your customs service provider.
